JL083A module not working with hp2930M switch

date 11/8/2018,  I just ordered JL083a  (4 port ) 10 gig SFP card to install into the HP Aruba 2930M. Upon adding expansion card shutdown power instlled and reboot. As you say and I see; the card is not being found in the show run command.   

i did >show run,>show int br, >erase startup-config, >show module  and its still not seeing card and firmware is old like  your notes  #WC.16.04.0004 and I seen a new firmware  16.004.008.  I have not tried to update firmware yet.  

basically was hoping plug and play like the 4 smart-card

Do yourself a favour and update your (never released) WC.16.04.0004 to latest, as of today, WC.16.07.0002. Once done paste the output of show modules command...the JL083A should be properly recognized and listed.

date 11/14/2018  The 10gig add-card is working after upgrade firmware  WC16.x.008  thank you for your suggestions and keeping up with the blog.
