Re: Need to give IP to MMI in core switch 5406R
What's about having a look at something called HPE ArubaOS Switch Basic Operation Guide?
By default the Switch should be configured to acquire an IP Address configuration from a properly configured DHCP server or Bootp server (if any).
If DHCP server or Bootp server isn't available (or isn't configured to provide an IP Address to the Switch) then you should connect via Out-of-Band (so via Console) and manually assign an appropriate IP Address/Subnet Mask and Default Gateway to the Switch through console.
Another interesting and always useful document is the HPE ArubaOS Switch Management and Configuration Guide (for K/KA/KB.16.01, but you can find it also for K/KA/KB.15.18).
I'm not an HPE Employee
