No internet with Procurve MSM710
Hi,
I am trying to understand how the MSM710 works for work, I have connected it to a router via the internet port and to a computer via the LAN port. I created a test user account but when I sign into it I cannot get internet access and Windows Network troubleshooter says I might need to sign up with the networks internet service provider, what does that mean? I can normally get internet if I connect straight to the router from my computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Graham Barnett

Re: No internet with Procurve MSM710
did you get ip address manually.
if your answer yes
check msm controller default gateway address
default gateway address must have router lan port

Re: No internet with Procurve MSM710
* Internet port adddress in the controller should be the router lan address
* you can give default route as router address ( metric -0 )
*try ping to the router from tools option of Access controller

Re: No internet with Procurve MSM710
Thanks for the help, the Controller Internet Port address automatically set itself to 192.168.1.49 and the LAN Port on the controller is 192.168.1.1 however, I know how to change the address for internet port but when I try to make it 192.168.1.1 it tells me it cannot be the same as the router. I set the PC's default gateway to statically be 192.168.1.1 and to statically have an IP address of 192.169.1.2 and the DNS is 192.168.1.1.
Any other help would be greatly appreciated.
