OSPF VLAN Interface (Secondary IP) - No such multicast interface error...no other issues
Setup:
VLAN 254
- 10.1.254.1/30
- 10.2.254.1/30 (Secondary)
- ip ospf 10.1.254.1 area 0.0.0.1
- ip ospf 10.2.254.1 area 0.0.0.1
However, on the two switches I am getting the following error:
03132 OSPF: RECV: Discarding packet on interface Unknown :
No such multicast interface (15 times in 60 seconds)
This of course doesn't happen on a VLAN interface with just 1 IP address assigned to it. I do have multicast routing enabled with PIM-Dense, though I don't think that should make too much of a difference. Can you have two P2P addresses for OSPF on the same vlan?

Re: OSPF VLAN Interface (Secondary IP) - No such multicast interface error...no other issues
Sorry the VLAN 254 config posted is on the Distribution switch, the other two OSPF switches (3800/5400R) are producing those errors. I did debug the OSPF process and see that 10.1.254.1/30 is coming into the switch at 10.2.254.1/30. Just trying to consolidate vlans, or I can do a P2Multipoint as well...which probably will resolve these errors.

You could try setting interface type to point to multipoint , and specifying point to point on remote endpoints. Also specify ospf neighbors manually..

I don't "think" you can do that on the Provision models?
