Output of some command in HP ProCurve

Hi all,

I start to work with CLI of HP Procuve without real device. I found some documents, show some cli. but that's not enough,so, while waiting for real devices, could you please tell me output of some following commands:

- show cdp neighbors detail

- show version.

Thanks a lot.

Hi again,

How about command "show interface"? I need a full ouput to create a parser to get all interface information.

Thanks.

Re: Output of some command in HP ProCurve

Hi

Do you want to see full details of one interface or all of them? If one, the command would be

show interfaces <portnum>

Status and Counters - Port Counters for port A1

  Name  :
  MAC Address      : 001ffe-xxxxxx

  Link Status      : Up
Totals (Since boot or last clear) :
   Bytes Rx        : 0                  Bytes Tx        : 643,613,020
   Unicast Rx      : 0                  Unicast Tx      : 19,091,649
   Bcast/Mcast Rx  : 0                  Bcast/Mcast Tx  : 48,109,276
Errors (Since boot or last clear) :
   FCS Rx          : 0                  Drops Tx        : 22,762
   Alignment Rx    : 0                  Collisions Tx   : 0
   Runts Rx        : 0                  Late Colln Tx   : 0
   Giants Rx       : 0                  Excessive Colln : 0
   Total Rx Errors : 0                  Deferred Tx     : 0
Others (Since boot or last clear) :
   Discard Rx      : 0                  Out Queue Len   : 0
   Unknown Protos  : 0
Rates (5 minute weighted average) :
Total Rx  (bps) : 0           Total Tx  (bps) : 5029824
   Unicast Rx (Pkts/sec) : 0          Unicast Tx (Pkts/sec) : 0
   B/Mcast Rx (Pkts/sec) : 0          B/Mcast Tx (Pkts/sec) : 27
   Utilization Rx  :     0 %  Utilization Tx  : 00.50 %

You can replace <portnum> with port list as well (show interfacess a1-b7) or if you want everything, just show interfaces all. And of course, port numbers like A1 refer to a modular switch, on a single box it's just a number.

Re: Output of some command in HP ProCurve

Thanks . It's very helpful for me.

In cisco device, I can use command "show ip interface brief" to get all interface of switch, include VLAN interface with ip address, status, protocol

ex:

 CSW-2-1#sho ip int bri
Interface                  IP-Address      OK? Method Status                Protocol
Vlan1                      unassigned      YES manual administratively down down
Vlan3                      unassigned      YES manual administratively down down
Vlan4                      10.11.2.2       YES manual up                    up
Vlan888                    10.11.99.199    YES manual administratively down down
FastEthernet0/1            unassigned      YES unset  up                    up
FastEthernet0/2            unassigned      YES unset  up                    up

Please tell me, how to do this in HP ProCurve?

Thanks.

Re: Output of some command in HP ProCurve

Well there isn't one...

Procurve doesn't has the "inteface" kind of view.

there is:

show ip

sw5# show ip

 Internet (IP) Service

  IP Routing : Disabled

  Default Gateway : 192.168.0.1
  Default TTL     : 64
  Arp Age         : 20
  Domain Suffix   :
  DNS server      :

VLAN         | IP Config  IP Address      Subnet Mask
  ------------ + ---------- --------------- ---------------
  DEFAULT_VLAN | Disabled

  test           | Manual     192.168.4.2    255.255.248.0
  bla           | Manual     192.168.20.2     255.255.254.0
  bla2         | Disabled

and there is:
