PoE Storms/Requests
Looking for a possible solution where the switch in the even of an outage and X number of devices immediately request power. The failure could be at the switch level UPS mishap or IDF isn't powered by the generator. Or a portion of the building loses power and end devices going offline and then the large quantity all come back online at the same moment.
Is there an ability within the VL & ZL to sequentially apply power to ports if a predetermined quantity of power requests come in withint a certain time frame?

Re: PoE Storms/Requests
Hello,
I have never used it, but there is a "port priority" for PoE with several states (low, high and critical on HP3600). It will probably do what you want.
Regards,
Alexis.
