Hi,
I have tried to find some info about how to factory reset a Procurve 2427 swich.
All I can find is how to press the reset button or to powercycle the switch.
I remember reading somewhere to plug a cable in port1 and port2 and leave it for 40 seconds (not sure if it was for this model), and that should make it factory reset. No go :(
I have no idea what the ip address for the switch might be.
Is it possible to make some kind of serial cable and use port1, and set the ip via console ?
Regards
Per Nielsen :-)

Re: Procurve 2427 (j4897a) Factory reset
Hi,
Unmanaged... Well that explains a lot ..
Better look more careful at the product descript next time, and not be single minded and obsessed with the word 'reset' ..
Thanks for the answers.
