Procurve 3500yl able to let an interface to manually join IGMP group?
On the 3500yl, I havea vlan to tranport multicast stream, with IGMP enabled as below
VLAN ID : 20
VLAN NAME : Mcast_Vlan
IGMP Enabled [No] : Yes
Querier Allowed [Yes] : Yes
Port Type | Port Mode Forced Fast Leave Fast Leave
--------------------------------------------------------------
25 1000T | Auto No Yes
26 1000T | Auto No Yes
27 1000T | Auto No Yes
28 1000T | Auto No Yes
multicast server is on port 25, there are several devices in this vlan to receive multicast stream, however one device on port 26 was not able to join mulitcast group due to its not IGMP capable, see below
Active Group Addresses Type Expires Ports Reports Queries
----------------------------------------------------------------------
235.100.1.1 Filter 0h 4m 20s 27-28 60416 0
is there a way to manully let port 26 to join the IGMP group 235.100.1.1? I appreciate your input here.

Re: Procurve 3500yl able to let an interface to manually join IGMP group?
Is there a way to use like "ip igmp static-group [group address]" on an interface like Cisco switch?
I read the HP multicast guide and it seems this command can only be used on VLAN context on procurve switch.
