Does anyone know if there is a forum for ProCurve switches? I could not find one, so I thought I would post my issue here.
Anyhow, my problem is we have an existing 8000M as our main switch backbone on our network. We are building a new data center and purchased a 3400cl-48G switch to go in the new data center. I an trying to connect the switches together using a GB connection. The modules I purchased are as follows: J4113A (for the 8000M) and J4858A (for the 3400). I have updated to the latest firmware for both switches and still can't get them to connect. I have verified that my cable is good and my mini GBIC cards are good. I just can't get the 8000M to connect to the 3400. If I use a 10/100 twisted pair connection they connect just fine also. What could I be doing wrong? It does not seem to me that it should be that difficult. Please help!!!!

SolutionYou could try posting your query here:
business support forums -> Servers -> ProLiant servers - Netservers
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=431
and/or here:
IT resource center forums -> Networking -> switches, hubs, modems
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=269
Good luck.
Regards,
Kusuma
