to be noted, the freezes case only happend on some tv; not all tv.

Yes, logs are normal.

On which port those TV's are conencted where it freezes.

hi akg7,

i did try again this afternoon, only two hospitality TV connected; they are on port 19 and 20.

the one that connected to port 19 looks ok, no freezes

the one that connected to port 20 got many times freeze and the video have delay about 2 second compare to the first tv

hi there,

there is a good news on regards of this case.

my friend manage to install one pc with dual ethernet card and make it become streamer.

this pc feeds 3 channels of tv program from the internet and do udp multicast to main router for those channels. if the multicast ethernet port connected to the core switch, nothing shown up on tv screen.

guess what... no freeze found unless 1-2 seconds on the beginning of channel selection on each tv, and when internet bandwidth full as well.

still does not know the problem source, using the original streamer still freezing, using pc streamer everthing works smoothly as expected.

we will do re-test again by tomorrow

hi all,

just inform that our test run good yesterday. the test conducted about 5 hours using pc streamer. 

the pc streamer fetch three tv channels from the net and do udp multicast to core router and than re route to core switch and than go to distribution switches..

but if the test use the original streamer, more than 50% tv receive freezes during broadcasting..

anyway, our network topology is ring. from core switch connected to 6 distribution (GFA, LA, 1A, 2A, 3A and FA) switches on the left site and 5 distribution (FB, 1B, 2B, 3B, FB) switches on the right. than FA and FB connected to make ring. all switches running spanning-tree rapid-stp with core switch using priority 4; no loop detected so far.

is there any effect of ring (or bus if FA and FB disconnected) topology into the freezes case ?
