SNMP Traps from ProCurve a2910 need mib file

Hi, I'm using nagios/snmptt to process incoming traps for monitoring network and server gear. I'm seeing some traps from our ProCurve's that aren't being decoded by snmptt. I think I don't have the correct mib file(s) for this device. Can someone point me to the correct mib(s)?

Example Traps:

Mon Dec  3 06:42:12 2012: Unknown trap (.1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.3.2.0.1) received from 192.168.8.115 at:
Mon Dec  3 08:09:17 2012: Unknown trap (.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.86.0.2) received from PROCURVE1-vlan8 at:
Mon Dec  3 07:18:30 2012: Unknown trap (.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.86.0.2) received from PROCURVE2-vlan8 at:

The first trap is from an a5120-24G EL Switch

The ProCurves are type: HP E2910al-24G Switch(J9145A)

If you go to the support files for your switch, there are MIBS together with the firmware files on the download page http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/support/converter/index.aspx

They look like system object IDs rather than trap ids. I'm not sure what that means.

snmptranslate -mALL .1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.3.2.0.1
HH3C-SYS-MAN-MIB::hh3cSystemManMIBNotifications.0.1

snmptranslate -mALL .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.86.0.2
HP-ICF-OID::hpSwitchJ9145A.0.2

Re: SNMP Traps from ProCurve a2910 need mib file

The last post is 3 years ago, but I have the same problem. Our 2910al is sending the trap

.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.87.0.2

and snmptt reports it as unknown. I have installed all recent MIB files and

snmptranslate .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.87.0.2

returns

HP-ICF-OID::hpSwitchJ9147A.0.2

Obviously, the OID path up to but excluding the trailing ".0.2" is known and in the MIB file. But the trailing ".0.2" are missing. Is it really possible that HP is not able to provide complete MIB files even after three years?

Has anyone logged a support case for this issue? If so, can you tell me the case numbers (private message if you prefer)? I would like to follow up.

Kind regards,
