Hello,
How can I view STP log details on an aruba 2530 switch.
When we have topology changes, I would like to see the date and time of those problems.
When I enter the command "show log -r" I don't see anything about these topology change problems.
On a comware switch I have detailed information:
%Aug 7 01:59:27:283 2020 Switch_Comware STP/6/STP_NOTIFIED_TC: Instance 0's port GigabitEthernet1/0/22 was notified a topology change.
Do you have an idea?
I'm in RSTP configuration on the switch.
Thanks

Re: STP log display
Hello,
I had a case for a similar request for the Aruba 5406R switch. We could find similar messages in the Event Log Messages Guide, however doing a test we could never see the switch log this messages. The lab provided the information that this messages are not implemented on the AOS-S switches by design so the switch will never log them.
For troubleshooting STP TC you can use the command "show spanning-tree debug-counters" with valious options filtering by port and MST instance. There are several HPE documents plus the which describe how the command can be used.

SolutionHello @JM0945
Could you please provide a short update if the suggested solution with the command " show spanning-tree debug-counters" was helpful for you?
