Secure WLAN Accesspoint: Mac Filter?
Hi,
i am currently setting up a WLAN for a hotel with Lancom AP. The AP is connected to a HPE 2530-24G. Different SSIDs are connected to a Management device and there released to different VLANs. The AP has an option to connect a SSID to the local port, in order to reduce traffic to the management device i want to use this feature. But i want to make sure that if one person disconnects the AP and puts the LAN-Cable into his or her notebook the person cannot access the Network over the cable.
First idea was port basec mac filter, but if I unterstand it correctly it won't help because it is not enogh to authorize the MAC of the AP, i will have to authorize all macs ot WLAN devices ,too right?
What other opportunities do i have?
Thanks for your help!
