Tagging a Dynamic LACP connection? possible without GVRP?
Switch: ProCurve Switch 2650
Greetings everyone, I have been banging my head all day on this one.
I am trying to tag the interswitch link which just happens to be a LAG, but of course it doesn't allow it, which I believe is normal. So what is the secret? I have been reading and the only solution I see so far is to turn on GVRP which I really do not want to do.. is there a way?
ex:
(show lacp)
10 Active Dyn1 Up Yes Success
11 Active Dyn1 Up Yes Success
ProCurve Switch 2650(vlan-1)# tagged 10
Invalid input: 10
ProCurve Switch 2650(vlan-1)# tagged 11
Invalid input: 11
ProCurve Switch 2650(vlan-1)# tagged Dyn1
Dyn1: Inconsistent value.
now what?

Re: Tagging a Dynamic LACP connection? possible without GVRP?
Forget using Dyn1.
Create a trunk
trunk 10,11 trk1 trunk
And then
vlan 1 tagged trk1

Re: Tagging a Dynamic LACP connection? possible without GVRP?
This is brilliant actually, between two HP's I like this alot better. Thank you
In my situation now, unfortunately , I have to use LACP because its the only way to aggregate to a Juniper.
so I'm guessing from what I am seeing its not possible? To tag LACP?
