Unable to get multicast traffic flowing between layer 3 switches

I am not sure how to get multicast traffic flowing between layer 3 switches (3500 and 5400zl series). I can get it working between VLANs located on one switch but not multiple.

Here are the commands issued so far that have traffic flowing between VLANs on one switch...

5400zl(config): ip multicast-routing

5400zl(vlan 1): ip igmp
5400zl(vlan 1): ip pim-sparse

I have looked at HPs multicast guide where there are very few configuration examples. Maybe someone here has a different insight that may better help me understand..
