Using HP2920 10GbT modules for server connections

Hello

I have 2 x HP 2920 24port Gigabit switches in a stack. I'm planning to fit 1 x 2-port 10GbT modules into both of these switches and then connect 2 servers to them. I was about to order them but I have seen a few people online indicate that these modules are for uplink only. I was wondering if any one can confirm if these modules will work fine for connection up my servers?

Thank you

Well I admit I am also using our modules for uplinks I see no reason why untagging those ports to pass traffic wouldnt work like any other port.  I will try to do some lab testing with our spares and see if I am wrong.

Thank you for the reply, did you manage to test out those modules?

The 10Gb ports (SFP+ or 10GT) are for connecting whatever 10Gb devices you have. If the switches are stacked, you can do an MLAG using LACP between the 2 switches to the endpoint, creating a 20Gb aggregated link.

The 40Gb stacking ports are for stacking only.
