Voice VLAN and QoS for ProCurve Switch
Hi all,
for a customer we need to implement Voice Cisco Phones on HP Switches 2524 and 1920. On Each VoIP Phone there is also a PC connected which should be assigned to the data vlan. There should also a dedicated Voice VLAN available.
My questions:
- How to configure the edge ports for the IP Phones and the data vlan? Should the voice vlan tagged and the data vlan untagged?
- What is best practice recommendation, when the VoIP Phones mark packets with dscp ef and the data vlan should be leave with default value
- Do the uplink ports change the dscp or cos mapping / marking?
Thanks
Udo
