lacp across switches
I have a set of a few 2848 switches that are currently stacked. I want to know if its possible to get a LACP team on a server to connect to multiple ports on both switches and get redundancy? Basically server A NIC1,2 to Switch A, and NIC 3,4 to Switch B. The OS is configured for lacp and sees the connection plugged in. Right now, I get dynamic trunks, and can't set any vlans other than the default. I know this is a "feature" of the dynamic trunks.
TIA,
Carlos.

Re: lacp across switches
No, the 2848 "stack" doesnt support this cross-stack trunk / DDR.

Re: lacp across switches
2800 only does IP stacking, meaning the only advantage you get is management through a single IP address.
What you're looking for can be done with Distributed Trunking or IRF. The former is available for example for K-platform switches (3500-series, 5400-series etc.), the latter is a Comware device feature (ex-3Com/H3C switches).
