untaggall and taggedall
Hi
I would like some help understanding how to migrate some ports that i have in one old device to a new Procurve 2530.
The question is that i have some ports on one old Avaya that are like this:
Port Frames Frames PVID PRI Tagging Name
---- -------- ------------ ---- --- ------------- ----------------
1 No No 9 0 TagAll
2 No No 20 0 UntagAll
3 No No 10 0 UntagPvidOnly
4 No No 7 0 UntagAll
5 No No 7 0 UntagAll
6 No No 1 0 UntagPvidOnly
7 No No 1 0 UntagAll
8 No No 9 0 UntagPvidOnly
9 No No 7 0 UntagAll
10 No No 21 0 UntagAll
11 No No 1 0 UntagPvidOnly
12 No No 1 0 UntagAll
13 No No 9 0 TagAll
14 No No 60 0 UntagAll
15 No No 1 0 TagAll
16 No No 1 0 UntagPvidOnly
17 No No 1 0 TagAll
18 No No 480 0 TagAll
19 No No 23 0 UntagAll
20 No No 1 0 UntagAll
21 No No 9 0 UntagPvidOnly
22 No No 480 0 UntagAll
23 No No 1 0 UntagPvidOnly
24 No No 1 0 UntagPvidOnly
I would like to migrate this ports to Procurve 2530 but I am in doubt how to move some ports with UntagAll and TagAll
Can anyone help me out ? how to proceed ?
For example port Nº 20 i have untaggall, but Procurve 2530 don t allow me to have more than one untagged port ? correct ?
Another question is if I have TagAll or trunk why do I need to have a PVID ? whats the point ?
how can i recreate this scenario on the 2530 ..
Thank s

Re: untaggall and taggedall
I'd look at each device being migrated one by one - check what IP address(es) it has, check which VLAN on your network has that subnet assigned to it, then configure a port on the 2530 in that VLAN.
The Avaya should also be able to tell you which VLANs are assigned to each port. Check that first.
