Re: voice vlan 2510

yes, from the VLAN config you can put in the voice command.

Is that what you were asking though?

Re: voice vlan 2510

Hi moodrak,

Are you sure you're in VLAN context?   e.g.

vlan 100

   name voip

   voice

Re: voice vlan 2510

Hi moodrak,

It appears from the manuals (http://www.hp.com/rnd/support/manuals/2510.htm ) that the 2510 doesn't actually support the voice command.

On supported switches, the voice command does the following:

  • enables LLDP-MED
  • sets the 802.1p priority to 6 ("qos priority 6")
  • sets DSCP values to EF
  • transmits the VLAN id to the end device

So probably the closest equivalent for the 2510 is just setting "qos priority 6".

Re: voice vlan 2510

And 2510 doesn't support VLAN QoS.

Re: voice vlan 2510

Hi moodrak,

The manual i have for 2510s says that they support both DSCP passthrough mode and VLAN QoS. Perhaps you're on an older firmware version?
