Autoloader 12000e Install Trouble

Can anybody suggest other areas to check, this is a known good tape drive, that is seen correctly by the computer's bios, correct drivers are installed in Win 2000 Pro, but none of my backup software identifies the drive. What problems can occur despite being identified during bootup and installed support in the O.S.?

Also if anybody has access to a manual, it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have multiple LUN support enabled in the SCSI BIOS?
