Autoloader DLT 4000 C5173F- Tape stuck Drive1

I am unable to eject the tape from Drive 1 (2 drives total) If I manual remove the tape the Autoloader never returns to the Ready state. I have tried the Test for the Translate and fails the Rewind. Also tried Emptying drives when Releasing the door. Also shutdown the unit for 20 min before testing. What next?

Sounds like a bad drive to me. Call support and see if they have some suggestions. You may have past the head life for the drive.

Agree with James. To be more precise drive should have its leader dropped. No way to repair in field. Drive should be replaced

Hi there.
Try to download the LTT tools from HP support.
This is a tape drive test tool, which works with many drives. Perhaps you can then find the reason for your problem. Report this to HP support then.
