Backup To RDX on Windows Server 2008 64 Bit
Hi all,
I don't know if this is the proper section for this thread.
But I have a customer using a DL380 G6 and running Windows Server 2008 64-bit + an RDX Drive as backup device with a 750Gb tape.
However, Windows Server Backup on 2008 does not find the RDX Drive as a backup device to write to (schedule backup).
Some search here and there has pointed out that a Fix from MSoft is available - KB955561 - which is supposed to fix this issue.
However, when I try to apply the patch, I get an error that this fix is not meant for this device. I've checked and redownloaded the 64-bit version of the fix with no luck.
I've tried also (just in case) to apply the 32-bit fix, with same error.
Anyone out there can help me regarding the issue?
Cheers all.

Re: Backup To RDX on Windows Server 2008 64 Bit
I had a similar issue with another RDX solution. I ended up using an Idealstor Bantam and it worked just fine. They supply disk management software to manage the disk and it makes it recognizable by Windows regardless of the version.
Good luck.
Good luck.
