C1553A Autoloader magazine ejecting
Hi,
I've got a DDS2 autoloader. Since yesterday, it ejects the magazine whenever I insert one.
I've tried two magazines, both with unlabeled cartridges, the magazines themselves are also without any labels.
The changer checks the first slots: 6, 5, 4, then the message 'unloading', followed by 'ejecting' is given.
This also happens when the device is not connected to the SCSI bus.
The ltt tools give no error, although obviously I can't actually check the changer...
Does anybody know what might be the reason for this error?
Tia,
Arno

Re: C1553A Autoloader magazine ejecting
Ok, only as an information for other with the same problem:
Problem is solved. The autoloader magazine turning mechanism had to be cleaned.
I opened the external case, and with a cloth cleaned and greased the big gear turning the mazine.
Since then, everything works fine Again.
