Data Protector Express 4.0 SP1 (Application Hang)

Hello Everyone,
I am in need of assistance. I have Dataprotector Express loaded on a Windows 2003 Enterprise server and also 2 Windows 2008 Enterprise servers. Anytime I click on preferences in the application, the app hangs and I have no other choice but to end task. This happens on any of the 3 servers the software is loaded on. Any help will be greatly appriciated. Happy New Year!!

Hi Desmond:

Make sure you get the latest version Data Protector Express from HP website. Build 43064 or newer.

To get a newer version of DPE you may need to open a Support call with HP.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info, but where on the site do I go to open a support call? True be told that anytime I try to contact HP regarding support for Data Protector, I have to jump through hoops to get to the right people. I'm pretty convinced that I should have stayed using Symantec Backup Exec. Atleast I was able to get proper support when needed. Very frustrating. Thanks Dave!
