Data Protector Express - Cancel Backup Job Automatically?
Greetings,
Is there a way to have Data Protector Express - Single Server Edition automatically cancel a backup job if no tape is in the drive? I've looked through all the options, and don't see anything relevant.
One of my clients has a backup job which is scheduled to run Monday-Friday in the evening. But if no tape is present, the job waits until one is inserted and then runs, which usually happens the next morning. By then files are in use on the server, and don't get backed up.
I really need the backup job to cancel itself after a few minutes if no tape is present, and then try again at the next appointed backup time.
Thanks,
Chris
