HP SureStore 1/9 Barcodes
I have one of these devices with a DLT and runs barcodes fine.
I have another plant that has an Ultrium drive in the SureStore and it will not recognize the Barcodes.
Any ideas?

Re: HP SureStore 1/9 Barcodes
Not all bar codes are created equal. The code 39 spec is fairly rigid on the position and thickness of the bars.
Note: The 2.33 firmware included some adjustments to help read marginally-out-of-spec labels.
What vendor printed the labels? EDP/Colorflex is a recommended supplier.

Re: HP SureStore 1/9 Barcodes
Dave,
The labels were shipped with the SureStore unit and are in HP Packaging.

Re: HP SureStore 1/9 Barcodes
Thanks - that narrows it down.
Make sure that the labels are oriented properly. They should say "This edge of label toward hub of tape".
Also, ensure that they are centered as much as possible within the recessed label area.
Which version of firmware do you have in your unit?
