MSL 5000
We are developing a data protection software on Redhat 9.0. Our software can manage the physical library and copy the user data to physical tape. One of customers has a MSL5000 series with 4 SDLT1 drives. He is having a problem to move medium from the drive to slot after the data copy was done. The robot reports "Mechanical positioning error." I woule appreciate if anyone can help me to understand at what condition the robot will report the problem. If the problem is more related to the hardware issue or could be triggered by the software.
Thanks,
Peggy
