To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

RDX managing restore points

We have just acquired a new ZX Workstation, and in order to ensure continuous data backup (it is used for CAD/design purposes) we have attached an RDX which was running fine until we got messages ("cartridge not replaced for 230 hours").
We had believed that the rdx would allow us to continually backup the workstation and that we would be able to manage the content on it.I am new to this type of product and thought that you would be able to delete old restore points, but it appears that it will just run until it is full or a new cartridge is installed.
Is this the case? or can you delete restore points? We spent a lot of money for us (we are a small company) in the hope of being able to have security of data. Are we now facing more expenditure because we will have to run Father/Son or multiple discs?
We have recycyled the current disk, but it then took a whole day to clean and re-backup a start point.
