Storageworks Ultrium 1/8 Autoloader

I have just installed a Storageworks Ultrium 1/8 Autoloader. I have succesfully imported my media and am able to complete a backup from Veritas BE if I manually load a tape. I have set the Autoloader to Loop and Autoload Mode but if I do not manually load a tape into the drive a BE Backup fails with a no media error. The Autoloader shows up under Standalone devices in BE. I havw downloaded all the latest driveers from the HP site but no joy

Do you have the autoloader set in sequential mode? "Loop" and "Autoload" modes only are options for how to behave when in sequential mode.

The sequential mode is under "Configuration" -> "Library Behavior" -> "Set Library Mode"
