Surestore 2/20 updated info
Well it appears that the drive transfer rate is syncing to the lowest transfer rate of connected devices. Since the library controller (media changer) is at asynch narrow (8MB/s) the drive is using that rate which is 10X slower then the displayed rate on boot (80MB/s). Is there a way to force the transfer rate ? for the drive(s)?

Try looking at a similar thread:

"Try uninstalling the Adaptec driver and using the default Microsoft driver. There was a bug in one version of the Adaptec 29160 driver that would cause it to use async narrow on all devices on a bus if it found one device on the bus that was async narrow. You may be able to work around the problem by changing the id of the library controller but I have been unable to duplicate this problem to test that."
I recall hearing that there is a new version of the 29160 driver that also might address this, but I can't find any details.

The journey IS the reward.
