"Error 4073: TapeAlert" in the software Data Protector Express
Hello everybody,
I have a problem with a customer.
It concerns the backup of his server.
His server is a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 1.
The core is an Intel Xeon CPU E3120 of 3,16 Ghz and the RAM is 2 Go.
At every backup, there is an error in Data Protector Express version 4.00-sp1 : "Error 4073: TapeAlert".
What is the solution of this problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

If there are write errors, first try new tapes, then use LTT to perform an assessment test.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: "Error 4073: TapeAlert" in the software Data Protector Express
do a drive assessment test, pull a support ticket and attach it.
Consider to involve hp support. Maybe the drive is bad.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Thank you for your help.
I'm making the drive assessment test.
I will give you an answer at the end of the test.

Re: "Error 4073: TapeAlert" in the software Data Protector Express
This error means "The tape drive is having problems writing data. No data has been lost, but there has been a reduction in the capacity of the tape" and this is a hardware issue.
