Best way to add E-mail services in NT4.0?
The best and quickest way anyone?
I have to do something about the NW.
Currently have available an HP LHPro to run communications.
I need to install the proper add-ons to NT4.
Any recommendations re: best package would be appreciated.
Recently had problems with OEM Win2KPro and Norton Anti Virus, WinFax+WinWord.
We use Outlook to access a RedHat Gateway, Dhcp, and proxy/email server. It was quite secure in the past but we added Win2KServer in another Domain and it has been problematic.
Each RedHat service is running on its own machine. Its tough to tell when any maintenance is needed. Not much is needed,...which is fantastic,... but it either needs Samba fully operational, which it is not, or to be taken out.
But for now performance receiving email and browsing the outside Web is shody and WinNetworking seems to not see the DNS and not find the freakin Web.
"...Mom... Im locked out..."
Any tips?
thank you
I think getting a fully Windows NW in place by
using MSFT mail service would improve performance?
Can install it on the same server running user profiles for current e-mail & Web access? Wouldnt this work better?
Thank you.
