Communications service providers are held back by vendor lock-in, latency problems, and the high cost of rolling out the new services their customers demand. The Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technologies developed by HPE and Hewlett Packard Labs can help providers overcome these obstacles and allow them to give their customers what they want quicker, for less money, and at higher quality, than traditional approaches.

Labs’ Puneet Sharma and Julie Ward, and HPE’s NFV Chief Architect Vinay Saxena, will participate in a Transformation Session panel at Discover 2016 in Las Vegas to discuss this transition: “Hewlett Packard Labs; envisioning the future of virtualized telecommunication services (T7977).”

Current networks have been built for classic voice and data, according to Saxena. Consumers are demanding new services, but revenues continue to decline. Service Providers are looking to generate new revenue streams, new services to help their top line, and rebuild networks to lower their operation costs. HPE’s NFV systems will help them do just that. Attend the session to find out how HPE and Hewlett Packard Labs are applying exciting new approaches to bring this future to life.
