By Curt Hopkins, Managing Editor, Hewlett Packard Labs

In this interview at HPE Discover, Sharad Singhal, Hewlett Packard Labs' director of machine software and applications, and DZNE's Dr. Matthias Becker, spoke about the use of Memory-Driven Computing in systems medicine and how it has helped to increase the speed with which Becker's group is able to process genomic data.

Singhal is in charge of discovering proof points to demonstrate the advantages of Memory-Driven Computing over conventional computing architectures. Becker is a postdoctoral researcher Prof. Joachim Schultze's Genomics and Immunoregulation group at the University of Bonn. He works on accelerating genomic data processing pipelines using novel computing architectures.
