HP Labs’ contribution to HP Vertica Pulse

One of the challenges companies are confronted with today is how to keep track of and respond to in real time to customer perceptions and opinions about their brands and products expressed through the ever-proliferating social media channels. This challenge has resulted in a new field of research called sentiment analysis. HP Labs has been working on and developing for some time now something called “Live Customer Intelligence.” It’s a social channel analysis platform that not only analyzes what is being said but can do so in near real-time.


Now this technology from HP Labs has been built into a product developed by HP’s Vertica analytics business organization, called HP Vertica Pulse, and is in private beta.
