How would things change if you could analyze security threats at lightspeed?

seccap.gifMartina Trucco & Bill Horne

In order to keep a digital environment safe, security specialists collect information on security events – log messages, blocks, warnings, and so on. With the trendmous increase of data, keeping that enivronment safe is now a problem of scale.

As we have mentioned elsewhere, HPE, as an example, collects billions of events.

Handling this change, and doing so preferably before an intrusion, requires a level of computational power and storage that the devices currently used to monitor these events don't have.

But, as security researcher manager Bill Horne explains in this video from Discover in Las Vegas, The Machine will.
