Analytics for Human Information: OneHP—More Exciting Opportunities

DavidHumphrey ‎06-06-2014 11:05 AM - edited ‎02-19-2015 02:02 PM

This month has been very busy from the angle of OneHP!

I’m excited about three opportunities that have resulted from our continuous focus on being more integrated across every HP Business Unit.

First, we are partnering with team members from HP labs who are working on the "Machine", HP's project to create the future of computing. As part of this endeavour, they are creating a software platform to utilize massively parallelized computing. This is very applicable to some of the image analysis problems we are currently trying to solve. Working closely together, our goal is to speed up our analytics—allowing us to attack new problems head on.

Secondly, we are working with HP Services to explore new market spaces and have been meeting with some of their customers. This has provided valuable insight into new industry sectors and generated some great brainstorming sessions for potential joint solutions. Be sure to keep an eye out for an upcoming white paper focused on drones and the potential use of video analytics, created by my colleague, Gary Hargraves.

Finally, we have been working with the HP Enterprise hardware team to optimize our analytics on a new module for the Moon-shot platform. This is very interesting not just from a technical standpoint but the use case of this solution has been validated by a third area of HP.

Are you interested in learning more? Come visit us at HP Discover 2014 in Las Vegas, June 10 – 12. We have an exciting line up of roundtable discussions, speaking sessions and our latest product demonstrations. You’ll be able to collaborate and share insights with our industry experts and HP technical and business leaders on the opportunities that I mentioned above.

Hope to see you there!
