1/10Gb-F VC and BL460c

Hello, everyone!
Could you please provide some help?. We are implementing HP c7000 enclosure with four BL680c G5 and three BL460c G6 (with two onboard NC532i NICs). We are using two stacked 1/10Gb-F VC for networking. All servers have ESXi 4.1 installed.
As I understood from manuals, our VCs and BL460c both have support for HP Flex-10 technology and can provide 10GB bandwidth internal LAN connectivity for enclosure (we do not have 10GB uplinks). But when I trying to create server profile for our BL460c i see that "allocated bandwidth" is only 1GB even if I set "port speed" to custom 10GB value. In ESXi I can set NIC's speed to 10GBps, but actual speed remains 1 GBps...
How can I enable full 10 GB support for BL460c in our configuration?

The functionality you are describing requires HP Flex10 VC Modules. The 1/10Gb-F VC module will generally only get you 1Gb.

The module does have a 10Gb CX4 port, which is normally used for Stacking Modules vertically, however I believe it can be use as a 10Gb uplink.

To go back to your point however, the 1/10-F module does not have the smarts required to handle the Virtual NICs, for that you need Flex10 VC module.

You mean that our virtual connect only allows 10 GB functionality only for uplinks, not for downlinks?

That is almost correct. The downlinks are hard and are 10Gb capable, however the 10Gb functionality is Software and requires Flex10 VC Interconnect modules (and FlexNICs on the Server Blades). You have the 10Gb capable FlexNICs, but you dont have the correct Interconnect modules.

The Interconnect Modules you currently have only have a single "outward facing" 10Gb port (CX4) which you may or maynot be able to use as an Uplink (I'm not sure since I dont use these particular modules). I'm pretty sure that the remaining uplink ports are all 1Gb.

The 1/10Gb-F module provides 2 x 10GbE XFP ports for uplinking at 10GbE.

Also the 4 x 10/100/1000BASE-T ports can be used for uplinking or stacking VC modules. The same for the 1 x 10GbE CX4 port.
