About heartbeat connection

Dear friends,
Is it possible to switchover cluster when there is no heartbeat connection between two HP servers.

OS: HP-UX V1.
Server Model: rp7420

Hi

Are you sure you havent heartbeat connection?
Your heartbeat can go for specific lan and also for production lan.

Can you post /etc/cmcluster/*.ascii

I didnt say, I have no heartbeat connection.
I just want to know, If I dont have any heartbeat connection between 2 servers, cluster will switch or not?

If the servers seen for production lan, it switch.
