Adding VC Enet modules

Hello: We bought 2 vc Enet modules (1-10Gb) to add to our existing 2 enet modules in bays 1 and 2. These new modules will go into bays 5 and 6. We have FC modules in bays 3 and 4.
Question 1: Any special preparations needed to install these modules ? Will there be service interruptions in the VC domain?
Question 2: I am reading about stacking links needed to interconnect vertically the enet modules. Are these necessary ?

Tips or suggestions appreciated.

Yes, you need stacking cables between the vertical enet modules (cx4 or rj-45). There should not be any disturbance to domain function. Remember to update fw to same level.
