Hello
Goal:
We want to expand the Fiber Channel Uplink from two ports to four ports.
Current Setup:
Oneview 3.1
We have FlexFabric-20/40 F8 Interconnect Modules (two of them, Slot 1 and Slot 2)
We have existing Fiber Channel ports configured in x1 and x2 for each interconnect. We have x3 and x4 plugged in for Fiber Channel ready to be configured.
Details on goal:
We are trying to increase SAN bandwidth to our SAN switch. I have read the Oneview documentation on adding Fiber Channel Uplink. I am confused if we have to delete our Fiber Channel Uplink Set and Fiber Channel Network, then create a new Fiber Channel Uplink Set and Fiber Channel network, and select all four ports. What would be best practice?
Additional Questions:
Would this cause disruption to network/fiber channel? Would it be a good idea to do this while there are production servers running?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: Adding two more ports to an existing Fiber Channel Uplink - Oneview
Thanks Prabu,
We planned on adding another set of Fiber Uplinks and associated certain Server Profiles to talk to SAN. Thank you for your reply.
