After upgrading OA firmware to V2.10 can't identify CICSO switch

I upgraded my c-class blade enclosure QA firmware from V2.04 to V2.10. After the upgrade the CISCO switch shows up as (unknown). It still sees a switch there but does not identify it.
Cisco MDS 9124e 12-port Fabric Switch, HP c-Class BladeSystem. This has happened on several blades so it is not a unique problem.

Re: After upgrading OA firmware to V2.10 can't identify CICSO switch

Hi Bob,

Login to OA CLI through Telnet or SSH.

execute " update device all"
It should fix the problem.

Please note Component upgrade may be disruptive to system operation.

I logged in via telnet and gave that a try they displayed success during the update but unfortunately they still show up as unknown.

Try removing and reinserting the Switch.

Yep already tried removing and reinserting the switch, no luck. I also restarted the OA. The only thing I haven't done yet is a complete power off (pull the plugs). The other enclosure which displayed this system was degraded back to V2.04 and the switch came back.

I thought that I would let it be known that I upgraded to V2.12 and it solved my problem.

Make sure serial number is set on the switch.
