AlertMail Configuration not working
Hi, I am having problems in configuring the AlertMail on OA c7000 I believe one of the reasons is that the smtp server is outside of the private network and the OA only allows to use the IP address to connet to the SMTP server, i tested to connect to an internal server and it is able to connect properly, so is something that I am missing. Any ideas, any one?.. thank you

Re: AlertMail Configuration not working
Can you ping the smtp server from your private network.
If you cannot then you need to route/NAT/whatever out of the network.
Nothing you can configure in the OA.

Re: AlertMail Configuration not working
Use an SMTP forwarder on your private network if possible, then enter the forwarder's IP on the Onboard Administrator.
Good luck.

Re: AlertMail Configuration not working
Thanks guys for your input, I figured out yesterday, I try different ways to find out what was going on, it is hard to troubleshoot without having more information out of the log files. And yes the external SMTP servers are reachable from the network and no NAT translation issues, I still don't know what is blocking it, but well I found a work around
What I did was use my internal SMTP server as a relay using IIS by authorizing the Blade's IP address.
