Applying Computer Settings

We have HP C7000, 1\10GB VC Etherenet modules, BL 465 and 685 G1's with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 32, and x64 bit OS. Installed OA version 3.0, and VC 2.32; installed the latest frimware 9.0 bundle, and drivers PSP 8.4. After an out of band MS patch came out over the memorial day weekend some servers started having problems on boot and logon.

During boot, the server would sit at "Applying computer settings" and also at logon for about an hour. We eventually were logged on, but the system ran very slow. After booting into safe mode, we disabled all HP services, and rebooted. This seems to fix the problem. So far it effects about 4 servers. Anyone else heard of this, or what the cause may be?
