Are the BladeSystem power supplies able to withstand short power failures?

An interesting question from Lars:

Hi folks!

Do our c7000 power supplies have the ability to withstand power failures lasting ≤ 10 milliseconds, without the activation of a reset function?

Input from Jan:

I’ve just checked it and can confirm that all C7000 AC power supplies have the ability to withstand an AC Line Dropout of 10mSecs @90% output.

Here is the definition from the PSU documentation:

AC Line Dropout

An AC line dropout is defined to be when the AC input drops to 0VAC at any phase of the AC line for any length of time. During an AC dropout of 10mSec or less, the power supply must meet the voltage regulation requirements of Table 7 DC Output Regulation over the rated load. An AC line dropout of 10mSec or less shall not cause any tripping of control signals or protection circuits. If the AC dropout lasts longer than 10mSec, the power supply shall recover and meet all turn on requirements. The power supply must meet the AC dropout requirement over rated AC voltages, frequencies, and output loading conditions. Any dropout of the AC line shall not cause damage to the power supply. Output shall be at 90% max load for this test.
