Assigning IP Address to Blade Devices
Hi Guys,
Been going around looking for info regarding assigning IP Addresses to BL* devices in a c7000 enclosure.
I have BL460c G1 and BL685c G1, and a GbE2c interconnect. I was able to setup iLO for these blade servers and install the OS, via virtual media. When I view the port mappings on the interconnect bay, it shows that ports 1/9 for BL685c is connected and port 10 is connected to the BL460c server. But when I try to find the network cards in the windows OS', I do not find anything in there and is unable to assign any IP addresses to them.
So, how do I go about assigning the IP addresses for these blade servers?
Thanks!

Re: Assigning IP Address to Blade Devices
What media did you use to install Windows?
Did you install the appropriate Prolait Support Pack after you installed Windows?
Check your device manager for unknown devices. I may have a few with !'s that need drivers.

Re: Assigning IP Address to Blade Devices
Hi Steven,
I used an ISO image to install the OS (win2003). Yes, I do see several devices with '!'
OK then, I will download the appropriate PSP image and get this to run on the blades.
Regards,
Chris

Re: Assigning IP Address to Blade Devices
USB stick may/may not work with the front dongle.
You may need to make an iso image out of it and mount it via the ilo to install it.
