BL 495 and VMware ESX 3.5

Are the new BL 495 blade servers supported by Vmware ESX 3.5? I looked on the HCL and did not see them listed. I loaded ESX 3.5 and the new Embedded dual-port NC532i 10Gb Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapters were not listed when you run the command esxcfg-nics -l.

Does HP have a driver for these NIC's that work with ESX 3.5?

I'd wait till the end of the month and check for drivers.
I seem to remember an Alert that said this would be updated in November.
There is a product update in a couple of weeks - it could be then.

it is not yet certified with esx but very soon it is.

VMware released ESX 3.5 Update 3 on Nov. 6th

This allows you to use the nc532i (onboard controller) with VMware.
There are some limitation though, read about these in the IO Guide PDF (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi35_io_guide.pdf)

The bl495c is on the Systems Compatibility Guide but the NC532i 10Gb NICs do not appear on the I/O Compatibility Guide (updated 11/12/08). I have asked our HP rep for a timeline for driver certification. I will post his response here when I receive it.
