BL20p G3 Additional Memory
Hello,
Currently I have 4 2GB sticks of PC2-5300 RAM available and a BL20p G3 with 4GB ram (2 sticks for 2GB, 2 spare banks). I know BL20p G3 uses slower type of RAM. I want to expand this G3 blade to 8GB.
Can I:
1. Add 4GB of PC2-5300 to it?
2. Take out the existing 4GB and add 8GB of PC2-5300 RAM?
or do I have to buy PC2-3200 RAM for it?

Re: BL20p G3 Additional Memory
hi
that configuration is not supported
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12322_na/12322_na.html#Memory
I mean you can not add those memory DIMMS or replaced them with those you have only:
PC2-3200 DDR2 400 MHz SDRAM ECC DIMMs are supported
so you need to buy them.
