BL20p - Intel VT-enabled
We will be ordering som BL20p blades and we need to know if the processors that are available for this model has "VT-enabled"?
The processors we will be ordering with them will be the "Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor E5345 (2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)"
Does anyone know? Where can I get some docs indicating it does so I can direct our powers that be to assure them it does have "VT-enabled" on the processors.
Thanks

Re: BL20p - Intel VT-enabled
As you have the exact processor model number, it's easiest to check the processor manufacturer's web pages:
http://www.intel.com/products/processor/xeon5000/specifications.htm
Note that it says at the top:
"All Intel® Xeon® processors 5000 sequence feature:
Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT)"
[...]
In other words, yes, they are VT-enabled.
At least on Proliant DLs, the VT option can be controlled in the BIOS settings. It seems to be disabled by default, so remember to enable it when setting up those blades.
